The Story
Life has a way of leaving its marks on us. Hurt, disappointment, and difficult experiences can build into something heavier. Bitterness, anger, resentment, and a heart that feels hardened toward the world.
I created A Calmer Heart while reflecting on how much effort it takes to let go of those feelings. How easy it can be to hold onto anger, and how difficult it can be to release something that's become such a familiar part of you.
Finding peace isn't always a beautiful or graceful process. Sometimes it's uncomfortable, exhausting, and requires us to confront parts of ourselves we'd rather not acknowledge.
But I believe there's something powerful about choosing not to let the things that hurt us define who we become.
A Calmer Heart is about that ongoing effort… letting go of what poisons us, making room for something lighter, and learning that peace isn't necessarily something we find once and keep forever.
Sometimes, it's something we have to choose again and again.
