IN THE STUDIO

A little glimpse into the world behind the paintings.

Welcome to my studio! This is where I experiment with color, follow my curiosity, make a mess, and see where the painting takes me. Some days are full of unexpected discoveries, and others are about showing up and seeing what happens.

I'm happy to share a little of that process with you—from works in progress and the ideas that inspire me to the everyday moments of being an artist.

I'm glad you're here. Make yourself at home!

A Painting Finds Its Way

Every painting begins somewhere different. Sometimes it's a color combination I can't stop thinking about. Other times, it's a mark, a feeling, or simply the desire to see what happens when I put paint to canvas.

I work intuitively, building layers, making changes, and responding to what unfolds in front of me. I don't always know where a painting is headed when I begin—and that's part of what I love about the process.

The unexpected moments are often the ones that make a painting feel complete.

No two paintings take quite the same path. I love the experimenting, the unexpected turns, and the moments when everything begins to come together.

ROGUES GALLERY, MADISON WI

VISIT THE STUDIO

My studio is tucked inside Rogues Gallery, a creative space where art and craftsmanship come together. I'm the resident painter, working alongside two talented welders whose workshop is in the back, with the gallery just steps away.

It's a special place to make art, explore new ideas, and share the creative process with others. I'd love for you to stop by, see my paintings in person, and experience the work up close—the colors, the layers, and all the little details that don't always come across on a screen.

Studio visits are available by appointment. I'm working toward establishing regular public hours, so check back for updates. For up-to-date info on when I’ll be in, please check my social media!

Interested in visiting? Get in touch, and we'll find a time!
