Sometimes the person you love can feel impossibly far away, even when they're standing right beside you.
I created Dried Flood Lines while reflecting on the emotional distance that can exist within a relationship. Those times when someone seems completely shut off. Unable to offer the love, warmth, or connection you desperately want to feel from them.
It's a strange kind of loneliness, loving someone who suddenly seems to have nothing left to give. You may know that the emptiness is temporary, that the person you love is still there somewhere, but that doesn't make the distance any less painful.
Relationships aren't always full of tenderness and understanding. Sometimes they're filled with silence, frustration, and the exhausting feeling of reaching for someone who can't quite reach back.
Dried Flood Lines is about those difficult spaces between connection and disconnection, when love may still exist, but it feels painfully out of reach.
